The RAL Design System is designed primarily for color design. It is a color for architects, designers and advertising agencies. The system with a total of 1625 systematically arranged, metric defined colors, is described as a perfect instrument for high-quality color and decorative design. (The RAL Design system is not random but follows up an internationally used color measurement system, developed by the CIE established in 1976. The color differences between the individual colors are defined in CIELAB).
